'WE EMPOWER THE WORLD THROUGH EDUCATION'
At Mphehli Wemfundo Foundation, we believe that education is the key to unlocking the full potential of every individual, regardless of their financial circumstances or geographical location. Our mission is two fold:
To provide sustainable funding to rural, financially incapable students.
To offer sustainable student funding solutions aimed at improving the quality of life for people in rural areas and other financially incapable students across South Africa.
Our Vision
We envision a South Africa where every student, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to pursue their educational dreams. By bridging the financial gap, we aim to foster a future where educated individuals contribute to the growth and development of their communities, ensuring a prosperous and equitable society.
What We Do
Sustainable Funding: We provide reliable, ongoing financial support to students from rural areas and financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Our goal is to ensure that no student's potential is left unrealized due to financial constraints.
Holistic Support: Beyond tuition fees, we cover essential needs such as textbooks, accommodation, and living expenses, enabling students to focus on their studies and achieve academic success.
Community Development: By investing in education, we contribute to the overall development of rural areas, creating a ripple effect that benefits entire communities. Educated individuals bring back skills, knowledge, and leadership, driving positive change and sustainable growth.

At the end of 2023, the student debt of 25 public universities totaled R19 billion, with over 560,000 students having outstanding debt. The number of students with outstanding debts will surely increase in 2024 as the enrollment in higher educational institutions has risen tremendously. Yet, as the African continent is still underdeveloped, we cannot simply turn a blind eye to education. It is imperative that every child receives a fair chance to be educated.
Donations to those in need can go educate those who are financially inneed, please help those scholars in need.
